Our Story
Online Language Exchange began in April 2020 when Language Exchange Ireland and Language Exchange Switzerland teamed up to organise language exchange events online as the pandemic postponed all offline events. Our communities really wanted to continue attending the events as they are an important part of their educational and social activities.
Language Exchange Ireland has been hosting events since Mach 2012. Tens of thousands of language learners from all over the world have attended the events in person. Prior to the pandemic we hosted three events per week in Dublin and one in Cork which are back in action. We also hosted events in New York City and Rio de Janeiro. The community is now growing from strength to strength!
We have organised over 1000 language exchange events and are continuously improving our service and platform so you get the maximum benefit when joining us. Our strategy is based on feedback, we do what the community wants.

Director
From Ireland, Dublin. He loves language learning, meeting new people, culture, travel and sport. He speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish and a bit of Irish & French. He's been running language exchange events for 9 years at Language Exchange Ireland and festivals, club nights, concerts, corporate, cultural & community entertainment and events at Real Events Ireland
Raquel
Event Manager
From Brazil, Belo Horizonte. She lives in Dublin (ireland) Manages our online events and does the administration of the project. She loves language learning, meeting new people, culture, fashion, reading, travel and tennis. She speaks Portuguese, English, some Spanish and is going to learn French & Italian next. She's been part of the team at Language Exchange Ireland for 9 years and works at at Real Events Ireland

Graphic Designer
From Brazil, São Paulo. She has been part of the team for over 6 years, offering creative and innovative solutions for a wide range of projects including Online Language Exchange, Language Exchange Ireland and Real Events Ireland Passionate about languages, she speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish and wants to continue learning. She has lived in Ireland, Argentina and visited many places.

Event Manager
From Venezuela, Caracas. He lives in Dublin (Ireland) helps organise our live events. He is passionate about language learning, networking, travel, video games, photography and technology. He works as a UX Product Designer. He speaks fluent Spanish, English, Portuguese and is learning French and Italian. He also knows lots and lots of expressions in other languages! He's been part of the team at Language Exchange Ireland for 5 years and loves it!
